My love, Alfie, has always (Ava) adored this band, and I must admit I didn’t know much about you guys, but I listened with him, watched the music videos and looked at him with such admiration when he lights up when you are mentioned. This band is everything to him, and this year we made his dream come true, on first seeing yous live with his girlfriend, but something even more beautiful, the Mellion Collie vinyl. This we agreed would eventually be a wedding gift, but no, when we went on our fortnightly trip to the local record store we saw it on the self, Alfie described it instantly as a ray of sunshine, and he lit up the way he does! We had to buy it, it’s was too good to be true! Now the vinyl lives on the shelf above our bed, looking over the both of us. It’s an absolutely beautiful and stunning album and art, the steampunk vibe is absolutely perfect, I cannot wait for our home to emulate this! 

This is an ode to my love, the man who introduced me to this band, the man I’ll spent the rest of my life with! Here’s to listening to smashing pumpkins till the end!
