The Smashing Pumpkins was the first band I instantly connected to. It was the early 90s, of course, and I was just a quiet, lonely kid in high school. I felt like you were making music just for me, which I’d never really experienced with any other band. Billy, you’re still my favorite music artist, and you continue to inspire me.
