What a great night

We had the choice of going to the Rock2Wellington (which was the same weekend with more bands), or SP's. The choice was easy, and one I'll never regret. Billy made the comment at the end of the show that they hope it won't be another 10 years before they return... We sure hope it wont be either, or even 2 years. *******Come back soon SP*******

What a night, I couldn't see your dimples, but the sound and amazing music blow us away. Didn't want it to end!!! Jimmy's drumming was unbelievable, loved the mixed of old & new...and happy birthday Billy was a nice touch, think you can sing better than us. Please come back to NZ again. Thank you for the unforgetable night.

The rehearsal was great. The ego was massive. We greeted him as a god, and he looked on to us, and made us beg and sing, and scream for him to play;
and, face it, we loved it. Or at least I certainly did. Minus my gig-partner fainting. And the bruised ribcage I now bear. And the trip to the hospital to get him back in the weary-hours.
Thanks so much Billy, Jimmy, and everyone else. Hopefully next time at Real Groovy I won't miss you by a mere few hours and I can show you where some [bad word removed]ing wicked rock records are kept.
Keep it up kids- I'll be there 100% and totally looking forward to the next show.
You Rock. (Totally, utterly, unexplainably, completely)
(Keep it up)
X Phil.

i have never seen them live before but have been a fan for 10 years and it was AWESOME seeing them last night - i thought they were absolutely wicked. they played like all their albums - an amazing passionate loud journey rather than just song after song like some bands. one of the best live bands i've ever seen - billy is magic onstage. those guitar riffs are so beautiful and everyone was going crazy. was stoked they played old stuff, esp. siamese dream - mayonnaise and hummer definitely the highlight for me. loved it!!
p.s. anyone know where to get a full set list?

I thought the sound was great which is an accomplishment in that venue, and the band seemed pretty well into it, especially on the new material. The tracks were a good mix of new and classic pumpkins, which I'm sure is boring for them to play over and over, but us oldies really appreciated it! I remember making SP mixtapes for the car back in grungy 1993, so glad I finally got to see them. QotSA rocked out too.
Highlight tracks for me were Tarantula, Hummer, Crush, Mayonnaise, Stand inside your Love.

Started with Porcelina, ended with Muzzle. Favourite was United States.
