all the news on the tours coming up is making my heart jump. it's also making me shiver a little, thinking that i might not be able to go if theres a show, with the lack of money.

I recently bought an acoustic guitar, and being very silly, I bought an ovation. If you dont play guitar, thats a very fancy guitar. Luckily I got an applause, which is like a lower-quality version of the thousand dollar guitar. Still, my new baby, which i named starla, set me back $450 bucks with all the other stuff like case, strings, all that.

also, the account I take my money out of is pretty much my only savings account. No, we dont have money for my college. When I was little we had 4 kids and one money source: a fisherman.

anywho, I only have around $3000. this account is a money source for many things in my life.. all the expensive ones.

If i go to a concert, it won't be in sitka. so that makes concert tickets, airfare, and if its not where I have relatives, hotel. and probably all that stuff for my mother cause I'm only 13. And my entire family is going to Arizona for chrismas this year, so we dont have much spare money. and right now I'm in Anchorage, and we did lots of school shopping.. around $1500 dollars worth.

so with all that stuff to pay, I don't know if I can go to a concert anytime soon. Luckily I still have time to think about it, even if they come anywhere near me.

I'm hoping this "small clubs tour" means small towns too, because.. well.. that might have the possibility of Anchorage, Alaska. Oh god, I hope it does. I would scream if i saw a tour date for anchorage.

Pumpkins, if you're going to go to Alaska, go the the sullivan arena in Anchorage. (its all-ages)

If there was anything in anchorage I could go by myself and stay with my brother, and he could take me to the concert. Lots of money saved.

A few nights ago, I seriously had a dream that I was on this site and there was a concert date for Wasilla, Alaska (where i am at the moment, its outside of anchorage) for like.. July 11th or something like that. that's when I"m going to be here, and be with my brother, so that would be like perfect timing.

too bad its only in dreams.

I thought i was gunna cry when i woke up and realized it was a dream. I hate when that happens.

Sooo.. my point is... hmm I dont think i had a point. WELL. I'll make one. And it is... COME TO ANCHORAGE!!! actually I'd like it if it were like early next year, that would be best for me. March, april maybe. but i guess I have no say. It's up to the pumpkins and their people. so i'll say it again.

I use too forget my riffs too. so i started recording them all on my computer. that way you can always go back and listen to them. sometimes you forget some really good ones, and thats no fun

Hey i see that you write songs and such, as do I. Playing guitar or any musical instrument for that matter is what really gave me a vehicle to express myself now as well as junior high and highschool and helped overcome the frustrations of dealing with small-minded morons in my hometown.

If you like the pumpkins you should also check out some of the bands that inspired them too. The 80s indierock scene is fantastic and I highly recommend: sonic youth, my bloody valentine, dinosaur jr., lou barlow, cocteou twins as well as bad brains, the pixies, joy division and David Bowie. I have many more recommendations but I thought you might like some of these other bands too.

it is hard everywhere! here people listen to reggeaton(if that's the way to write it) and Cumbia villera(i hope you never hear that it may be the worst ever happened on earth)and well in my city there is no CD store or Record store, cuz the pirat copys are much cheaper and nobody buys original albums. A friend told me that he found all SP albums in another city in my country (all USA original) but when i was there never found them... I was trying to have a little collection, and i have 20 collectible pieces but there are so many versions, so many bootlegs that i think i could never have a copy of everyone...

sad but truth, i just wanna have a copy of "The Aeroplane Flys High"

I have always been a strange child...

I'm only 13 years old right now. All of my friends at school listen to the same music, wear the same clothes, and are those middle schoolers that we all think of now. I'm a freak and I know it, and the Pumpkins' music has helped me realize that... My friends make fun of me for it, but it doesn't bother me, because even when my oldest friends let me down, my music never does.

I found Billy Corgan/TSP "officially" in about summer 2005. It sounds late to you, but I was only 10. I heard the Zwan song "Settle Down" and fell in love with it... especially the end, where billy sings "la-di-dah, la-di-dah, ladidah ladidah, la-di-dah, la-di-dah!" with that amazing guitar solo!!! when heard that I knew I had to hear more. So that summer I listened to Zwan constantly.I was a loner all thru 4th and 5th grade, and because of this, I am even closer to my music. in 2006 fell in love with the Pumpkins. I entered 6th grade that fall and realized I was a huge nerd. Kinda emo too. not in a good way. By the end of 6th grade I started to become more "normal" and fit in at least.. a little.

I've been playing guitar since 5th grade, and it really all started with SP. I basically learned by teaching myself their songs. I'm getting much better now.

During 7th grade, I thought I was just as happy as ever. and i was. Until January. my oldest friend, sage, had turned on me again and gotten a new "best friend". It's happened before, nearly every year since 1st grade. but this time she went too far... she said she would hang out with me after school one day. Kirsten and i went to call my mom and we found sage, zaide (her new best friend) and maiji (a new girl who hates me for no particular reason). I was pissed off. it happened many times for the next 4 months. Sadly enough, i got used to being hurt like that. But then it got worse.

in late april I started to get closer to my friend Kirsten, and we talked about our frustrations with other people, life, music, whatever came up. Soon our other friends started acting weird and were asking me what was going on. i didn't really know, so I asked kirsten, and in mid-may, she wrote me an email saying we were all immature and i should just get over myself. soon after she moved to a different table at lunch and started being very mean to me. that email still makes me upset. now she's friends again with most of our old friends, and everyone asks me why I won't apoligize. I didn't do anything that i need to apoligize for. i honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do.. but my music has helped me get thru that 2 months of torture.

there's many reasons why i've depended on my music in the past, and without the pumpkins I would be miserable.

Now i'm going into 8th grade. I'm still changing, but I've mostly found myself. My friends are just now going thru their "tough phases," so I've been acting a little antisocial lately. Billy's music helped me get thru the tougher times when I don't know where i am pr who i am and I thank him for that.

I saw the Pumpkins perform in Portland, Oregon on September 21st 2007... it was wonderful. I was in shock that I was even in the same room as billy. I could go on and on about it. now i'm EVEN MORE of a devoted fan to the Pumpkins. YESSS

So, I'd like to say, thank you so much to all the pumpkins who have ever been Pumpkins - you have all inspired me, every single one. I was creative, but I didn't know what to do with it, and full of angst, and this band helped me work thru it all.

all that I ask from you now is to keep making music, stay happy... AND COME TO ANCHORAGE, ALASKA!!!! Alaska needs more good music like you guys
