The Smashing Pumpkins play some of the best damn rock with bombast and surrealism that I have ever heard. And yet in spite of their uniqueness, there are always elements that are alien yet familiar. I love the duality of mellow with rage and vice versa as they swing wildly from quiet to LOUD!!!! And I don't know what it is, but I have always had a softspot for Mellotrons ;-)

In Fact, .... Siamese Dream made me a fan like many of you and Hummer to this day is still a Fave and is one of the quintessential SP songs that takes me to that hypnotic place of tense yet surreal music that conveys a state of mind that no one else except Billy can conjure up. His dream like voice and edgey guitar take the listener on a wild weird ride like no other. In Short, the Pumpkins are an amazing band that continue to mesmerize, amaze and inspire me like few other bands have. Enjoy one and all. And count yourself lucky to be a fan of this amazing band!!!! :-)
