I downloaded this album within a day or two of its internet release. Avid listener since 91' here. I have to say the content is just amazing. I love the songs, especially White Spider, Vanity, Saturnine (this version, not the Rotten Apples one) and Glass Theme. I am a hifi nut, and the only thing I wish I could get would be a 'cleaner' version. Outside of the recording being sub par this album is AMAZING. I only hope that someday a secret hidden master copy will surface and be made into millions for us to buy, that is as long as the band get the profits.

I wouldn't call it underrated, because everyone I know who has actually heard it has fallen in love. I am somewhat amazed by the number of people who haven't heard it yet. This is probably my second favorite Pumpkins record (next to MCIS and ahead of mighty Siamese). "Home", "Go","If there is a God", "Dross", (alt.) "Try, Try, Try", "Cash Car Star", and "Atom Bomb" are probably some of the best songs of this decade.

And it's free. Pretty hard to go wrong with this one.

..but anyhow there are some very good songs on it.. what's with saturnine or lucky 13..? I think two brilliant songs although there are different than the songs before...so Happy 8th Birthday Machina-||

Machina 2 has some of the most unbeleavable songs that i have never heard from the pumpkins before.Slow dawn, home, lucky 13, these songs should have been on the first machina release. Its sad and annoying to say the least and im pretty sure alot of people feel the same way.I guess the only way to solve this problem is to rerelease the cd just the way that billy intended it to come out.Im not sure if it will ever happen but if they do finally decide to make it an effort i strongly believe that it will make alot of pumpkin fans happy worldwide

this album is tied with siamese dream for my favorite pumpkins album.i really hope in the future it is released as an impressive packaged cd.for now i will be content with the free download.

I just got this album today and I just got done listning to it. I was lucky enough to get an actual copy off of eBay (for only $16!!). This album in my oppinion is better than Machina 1. This album has a lot of good songs on it, such as: Saturnin, Soul Power, Speed Kills, If There Is a God [Piano/Vox], Cash Car Star, Dross, Go, Home, and White Spider. So yeah this is a really good album, you can download it from the "Audio" section, or you can try finding an actual copy off of eBay, but be careful one of the guys that's selling them is actualy just selling two burnt CD's of the album (I found out the hard way), so if you're going to get this off of eBay try to find one with a picture of it in real life, not just like a stock photo, so that you know it's real. So, yeah, check out this album!

Really I liked Machina II better than the first installment, including the new versions of tracks like "Try, Try, Try" and "Heavy Metal Machines". My favorite track of all was "Home" but there all stellar. I am still amazed that this album was given away. It may be one of there best

Personally, I would love to see this get a proper mix. The version of 'Real Love' on Rotten Apples sounds so much better, as does the version of 'Try' on the Untitled single. So, yes, I am probably in the minority on this one, but I would like to see Machina II get a proper mix and a release much like the way Trent Reznor released his new album: free and in high-res WAV/FLAC/MP3 files.

ok, as mentioned before, I ordered one of ebay, It is not origional, but herew is the catch, It has all the songs and the guys believe it or not, works with someone and professionally prints them in his own interpretation. I love it, it doesn't look out of place because the have labels so this is the way to get them. In regards to " Welcome To The Death of Smashing Pumpkins," there is that sid eof it but, the album itself is beautiful. But, it could possibly be the death of The Pumpkins as we once new them. Let's not forget, Zeitgeist. it was done with half the pumpkins, but the raw power they always packed is still there. At the same time, you would have to listen to their old stuff to understand where "Zeitgest" comes from.

i don't have it and i would really like to have it... i have every other one except this one

This was my second SP album (after Rotten Apples). I didn't know how much I liked this group so I downloaded it since it was free. At the time I didn't like it all that much (except I LOVED If There Was A God (Piano Vox). Now that this is my favorite band and I own 3 days worth of Billy's songs, I can trully appreciate how AMAZING this album is.

I know that you are going to think I am full of shit but years and years ago when I first started getting into the Smashing Pumpkins (I was a little late). I went to buy one of their cd's and saw Machina II at the store I was at.I bought it b/c I had never even heard of them having this CD. This store didn't sell any kind of bootlegs or pre-owned albums. I was just wondering why I cant find any record of this ANYWHERE on the internet? Supposedly what I have doesn't exist... but I have it. The case is simple, the artwork is just one page and it includes the following tracklist (all titles are as they appear)and only one disc.

I love this album, although it is only on vinyl and downloadable off of the internet. Cash Car Star, and Satur9 are probably the greatest songs.
