Saw hundreds of bands, from Metallica to Moby and at first I thought Billy was in a mood, I'm a fan of S.P. for 15yrs! To nerdish proportions. The show in Kings Hall was only let down by sound but only in very few songs, good considering the rep of The Kings Hall (why not the Odysee?) anyhow amazing SHOW, amazing drummer and what a big sound from the Smashing Pumpkins (depending where you stood in the crowd). Billy is one of my favourite lyricists and guitarists and last night it was true to form, I was surprised in parts and blew away from the build up of Porcelena till the blast off of Cherub Rock. S.P should come back but to a different venue... Great show, great music and varied, Billy was a subtle showman, comedian and all out true star he is. Or maybe I'm wrong... Hmmm.
