Last night I went to the Kings Hall to see a band that I have avidly followed for some 17 years and by feck was I disappointed! The kings hall acoustics are notoriously poor and last night was no exception! It can only be described as a muffled din meant to promote the profuse bleeding of ones ears. Could anyone make any lyrics out? Bar the acoustic performance of 1979 and a fervent rendition of Bullet the rest was pure unadulterated crap. Anyone who has reviewed this as, "the best gig i've ever been to!" has obviously only been to the one gig. I have given this gig two stars of a rating only out of loyalty!
I had tickets back in 1996 to see the pumpkins in Belfast only for it to be cancelled due to tragedy in Dublin the previous night. My mate who was to go that night has since moved overseas and was jealous that i was going last night and he couldn't make it! He phoned me this morning to hear about the gig only for me to lament about my disappointment (I could hardly hear him due to the incessant ringing in my ears!)

Bar that I'll die a fan of the smashing pumpkins! However i would rather crawl over a field of broken glass to stick dead matches in someones turds than go to the Kings Hall to see a band again.. Theres no place quite like the Ulster Hall (or the occupied six counties Hall if you feel offended!)
